153 Teams to compete at Servus Tier II, III and U12 Tier I Provincial Championships this weekend

The Servus Tier II, III and U12 Tier I Provincial Championships will be spread out across seven cities this weekend as 153 teams will look to conclude their outdoor season with a provincial title. The teams participating have worked all summer to reach this point and in most cases have finished near the top of their respective leagues and divisions to qualify for provincials.

Over 160 Referees will also take part in these competitions. They will officiate an impressive 275 games over the course of the weekend.

Calgary Minor Soccer, Edmonton Minor Soccer, Lethbridge Soccer Association, Okotoks Minor Soccer, Medicine Hat Soccer Association, Red Deer City Soccer Association and Sherwood Park District Soccer Association will all serve as co-hosts for this weekend's championships. All hosts put an exceptional amount of time into booking fields, the upkeep of fields, organizing volunteers and referees and selling merchandise. 

The U12 Tier I, Tier II and Tier III competitions will take place all weekend with finals taking place on Sunday August 14th. These championships are the penultimate event of the series of youth provincial competitions that take place over the summer months. The final provincial competition, Tier I to Nationals, will take place from August 18-21 in Calgary.
